About the Author

Chris is a member/partner and is the Managing Member of BrownWinick. He is recognized by Chambers USA® as one of the leading practitioners in Iowa in the areas of corporate/mergers and acquisitions and business law. Chris represents numerous and diverse clients in corporate/mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, business and transactional matters, and raising capital.

Because most of his clients view him as “general counsel” for all legal matters, Chris frequently works with other BrownWinick attorneys to provide a full range of legal services. He prides himself on his ability to “partner” with his clients and add value by taking a proactive, results-oriented approach and viewing each engagement from a businessperson’s perspective. He believes the keys to providing the best legal representation are knowing the client’s specific business, industry and strategic plan and focusing on client service, creativity and results.

Chris’s practice focuses primarily on domestic and international business, transactional, corporate and securities matters, including: organization/formation/startup and management issues; debt and equity financing including public and private securities offerings; mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures; real estate transactions; manufacturing and supply chain transactions; and franchise/dealer/distributor issues. Industries served include manufacturing, technology, agribusiness (including livestock production operations, dairies, eggs, grapes and wine and food products) private equity/venture capital and investment banking and energy (including generation, transmission, storage and renewable energy).
